Kids for
the Cure®
2008

Kids for the Cure® became part of the Komen Coeur d' Alene Race for the Cure® in 2003. This event encourages family participation as a way to support those who are living with breast cancer and honor those who have lost the battle.

In the spring of each year, area school children are asked to participate in an art contest to design the shirt that will be given to all participants between the ages of 6 - 12 years of age.

Children and families are encouraged to sign-up and to participate in the 1-mile family walk. This is ideal for strollers and parents with small children. As part of the pre-race activities, there will be clowns, bubbles, balloons and fun activities at the Children's tent. In addition, each child who completes the race course will also receive a "Finisher" ribbon.

Watch for contest information coming to an elementary school near you in April 2009! For more information, contact Laurie McNutt.
